Project days

TEC has a long tradition of project days. They take place twice a year at the end of the period.

The aims of project days are:

  • Finding connections and implementing knowledge in real life situations
  • Strengthening integration between subjects and collaboration between teachers
  • Increasing and maintaining student motivation
  • Developing students’ self-awareness and social skills (interests, choices, responsibility, independence)
  • Developing students’ creative skills
  • Broadening learning environment
  • Preparatory work

  • Agreements with parents (if extra cost is involved)

Registration:

Forms 1-4: Activities organised by class teacher, no registration
Forms 5-6 registration with class teacher or subject teacher
Forms 7-12 registration online

Activities

Day 1: activities in and outside schoolhouse
Day 2: Preparing the presentations, making summaries, presenting the outcomes of the project day to fellow students, giving feedback
