Student vacancies registration
Admission to basic school’s Grades 2-8 takes place once a year in case of vacancies (end of August). In order to apply for a place an application should be submitted by June 1st. Should a vacancy arise, parents will be notified accordingly via email.
Admission to Form 2 through 8 is conducted once a year, subject to the availability of vacancies. To apply for a place, please submit the registration form no later than June 1st.
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme in Tallinn English College (TEC) is primarily meant for the children of families who belong to the target group designated by the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research.
The Ministry of Education and Research has defined the target group for admission to IB curriculum study places in accordance with ANNEX 1 of the administrative agreement. Admission is open to children who meet one of the following criteria:
children of foreign nationals whose parent is part of the dispatched personnel of a foreign diplomatic mission or consular post in Estonia;
children of foreign nationals whose parent is employed under a fixed-term contract in national defense, at a public university, or at an accredited research institution in Estonia;
children of foreign nationals whose parent works under a fixed-term contract at a representative office of an international organization, an international organization itself, or another institution established by an international agreement, as listed on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website;
children of Estonian citizens whose parent works in the field of national defense and who have studied for at least two years at an IB school or an international school abroad at the same educational level, or within an IB programme, due to their parent’s employment abroad;
children of Estonian citizens whose parent is an employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and who have studied for at least two years at an IB school, an international school, or a local school abroad due to their parent’s employment at an Estonian foreign mission.
Should a vacancy arise in the relevant class, parents will be notified directly. If you have not received any communication from us, please understand that no vacancy is currently available. Admitted students will begin classes at the start of the first semester of the following academic year.
Admission to upper-secondary school(G1) is separate; more information is provided in January on the school webpage.
Please note that admission is not available for Grade 9, G2IB (DP1), or G3IB (DP2).
